Lectures delivered by Professors of University of Palermo on the following themes:
Man and Water
Water in Nature

11:00 Visit to the “Carburangeli Grotto”

13:00 Lunch Break at School

14:30 Tour of the city of Carini, specially the Castle and the Cathedral

17:30 Meeting resumes
Discussion on Project Management
“Questions and Answers” Session on the project theme “Water”

19:00 Dinner at School


Tuesday 28th October

8:30 Attendees Meet at School in Carini

9:00 Transfer to Giardinello “Medieval Lavatoio”
Visit to the dam on the Jato River and to the local Museum
Visit to the “Calatrasi” Cellar

13:00 Lunch

14:30 Transfer to Segesta by coach for touring the Greek Amphi-theatre
Tour of the sulphurous hot springs of Alcamo

Arab-Norman Itinerary
Tour of the city, specially the Cathedral, Arab Qanat and typical markets
Sightseeing of the Oreto River and the old bridge “Il Ponte dell’ Ammiraglio”

12:30 Lunch offered by District Local Authorities (“Department of Education and Culture”, Palermo)

14:30 Visit and promenade along the seaside resorts of Mondello and Isola delle Femmine

17:30 Return to Villa Belvedere in Carini
19:30 Meeting resumes
Award Ceremony

20:30 Dinner in Carini Medieval Castle offered by local Authorities (“Unione dei Comuni della Baronia”)
